You need to erase everything on the disk and then install a fresh copy of Windows XP Pro. Get a boot disk from www.bootdisk.com (a Windows 98 boot disk would work) and boot from it. Run FDisk and wipe the computer.
Then put the Windows XP CD in and boot from the CD. If this is an upgrade make sure you have the Windows XP Home edition CD handy so you can put that in the CD drive when asked to verify an earlier version of Windows. Good Luck. -- In [email protected], geetha geetha <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi Friends: > > I am trying to install IIS in my computer. Unfortunately I have windows home edition in my system. So I purchased windows Xp pro. While I tried to install Xp pro my system says " you are trying to install older version of operating system than the operating system (Windows-Home) in your computer". > > Anybody can help me how to install the windows Xp-Pro? > > Thanks in advance. > > Geetha. > > > > --------------------------------- > Do you Yahoo!? > Yahoo!
