G1440 has an immediate opening to work on site at one of our clients. This is a full time employee position with G1440 with full benefits. Future projects will be on site at other Baltimore area clients or in house at our Development Solutions Center in North Baltimore city. One of our clients is searching for a .Net Senior Developer. This is a full-time employee position with one of our large, well known Baltimore customers. You will be joining a team with 3 other developers and a DBA. The team is expected to grow to as many as 6 developers for a large scale project that is kicking off in October. Description: The .Net Senior Developer is responsible for managing the design, development, and integration of software applications. This involves developing C# .NET software components and stored procedures that interact primarily with SQL databases. The position requires an expert, enthusiastic, hands-on role architecting, designing, and building a suite of Web-based business applications that will scale as appropriately to meet continuing business requirements. You will be developing a new application from scratch; this application will form the core for the new enterprise application architecture across the company. Requirements: o Assess business requirements leading to platform and solution architecture and system design o Contemplate, define, document, communicate, and monitor application software architectureo Design well integrated business system architectures o Prepare detailed design specifications for programs and operations to comply with and meet business requirements as well as architectural standards and policies o Design, develop and maintain C# .NET software applications and Web sites using SQL Servero Code, test and debug complex programs o Evaluate, advise, recommend and introduce new technologies in support of company objectives o Manage consistent version control and configuration management practices o Mentor Senior Developers and perform code reviews o Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline, or equivalent experience o Successfully designed, developed, and released multiple business critical applications in a Microsoft environment o 7+ Development experience, including ASP.NET, .NET, Visual C++, C#, and SQL-Server o Extensive experience integrating business systems using web services, message queuing, and brokering o Extensive experience in SQL-Server with stored procedures and triggers o Extensive experience programming in an Object-Oriented environment o Full Project Lifecycle experienceo Extensive experience in XML and JavaScript o Experience with UML, RUP or similar design languages/methodologies o 8+ years overall information technology experience o In-depth expertise with XML data stores in a highly scalable OLTP environment o Ability to build controls and extend existing controls using the .NET framework o Designing and developing comprehensive 3-Tier and N-Tier architectures in a business systems environment, leveraging COM and COM+ o Ability to analyze system requirements o Very strong architecture and data modeling skills o Effective communication of project progress, requirements, and tasks with technical and non-technical colleagues and management o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills o Excellent documentation skillsKey attributes o Track record of improving system performance and functionality o Understanding of business process engineering and relationship t o systems engineeringo Appreciation for the merits of data-centric versus process-centric solutions o Mature, positive, enthusiastic, creative, flexible, team player o Version, component, standards and configuration management o Strong initiative and ability to self-direct o Ability to work on multiple projects o Strong analytical problem-solving skills A contractor will also be considered for this position.
