Dear Aradhana:

We too had a Kaath-Aalu gos here in Houston. My mother started it here from a
'guti' from her garden, when she visited us years ago. We ate the Aalu for a
few years, and when we moved, we didn't get to bring a puli, and was sad that
we won't have it anymore.

All of a sudden, a few weeks ago, I found it in a tin and put it in a tub and
it is shooting up now. It grows wild in Houston.

We shared the "seed" with a few Assamese in Houston.

Good to hear about growing the vegetables and also about 'rohor-dail' in your
house - gives me hope. :)

Good luck with Kaath-Aalu. It's a hardy plant, so it should grow well during
the summer. All you need is to save one little 'guti' from the tree for next
year.
