--- Begin Message ---Dear Shri Narayan,
Namaskar,
I belong to the group which wants to write the demography and geography of this world.
Just as the land called America was once controlled by Red Indians and now under the whites controll - I see a world where the sparsely populated areas of the world --namely Australia and the Americas act as new hunting grounds for the densely populated countries --like India and China -- wwho can leverage their Human resources to capture new markets --
especially important in an era where the Westerners now want to capture the econoimic resources of our nations under the garb of global trade where they are free to have access to our markets but refuse to let us in --in their labour market where we might have an edge. As per recent news reports even H1B visas and L visas -so important for our software professionals --are being withdrawn -through legislation --it is time we people raise our voice against this covert economic exploitation --and demand a level playing field.
I think we Indians we lost enough ground in the past centuries -when the Mughals ruled us and the Hindus considered it demeaning to cross the seven seas --the Europeans gloriously dared to cross the seven seas and rule the then known world -Asia and Africa ==and discover new onees --Australia and America.
I'm glad to hear your opinion --though the high regard u have for ur NRI employer -who dared to cross the seven seas --makes me feel that deep dowwn u share my thoughts.

Hello Umesh
I ask a simple question? why do our guys want to go abroad for studies
and/or
employment - when opportunities are here aplenty? Atleast the guys who
have the
aspiration and the education potential will definitely be able to get a
job or
be an entrepreneur here. I personally know a lot of examples.
What is it that drives a person to crave for "foreign" education or
employment?
I have visited several countries during my career, but still find India
the
best place to live in.
I work for an American company. An American company owned by an Indian!
The
owner of our company started out as a small time fish trader in
Chennai, and by
sheer grit and determination, step by step, he created the business in
USA. He
was not a moneyed man when he started out, but today - he owns a
seafood
trading company and a software company in the US and a seafood
processing plant
in Kerala.
For those who are really determined, the H1B or whatever bullshit
anybody
throws doesnt really matter. They will find a way out. Others just
complain.
To what group do you belong?
Decide yourself and act accordingly.
Hari Om
