Partha: I am amazed at your involvement with different communities. I am always interested in helping in any way I can.
I am in a position where I really need to help the people that are close to me, morally and by any other means, but will do everything possible to help anybody that really needs any help.
I also believe in helping people directly - in person. I like to feel their joy (and share the sorrow) and like to see the joy and relief in a person's eye, a big part of which sometimes even can happen just by my presence.
I will write to you more on the topic. Thank you.
Regards,
Alpana baideu.

> The AssamNet is a veritable source of information and "a place of exchange" for discussion and
>debate. Obviously, this list has people who have been really successful in their careers. If we
>can harness the creative energy (there are lot of people who want to do "something" for their

>we would have done our bit. Sanjoy Hazarika's appeal is something to be considered.

>Chandan-da/Mahesh-da/Ram-da/AlpanaBa/Rajen-da and the others interested, please take some time off

>the bottom of all lists by now. Am I sounding very morose? Well, one would be - that's the
>bottomline. But hope is a force that constructs. One is hopeful because of active people like
>Sanjoy Hazarika or Jayanta Madhab. Shantikam-da, an IIM (Ahmedabad) grad went back and setup the
>Assam Institute of Mgmt - no mean feat considering all the wrong examples around him. Today, grads
>from the institute are going places in the corporate world. A report on Cotton College reveals

>or Kula Saikia, a cop by profession, who has conceived Project Prahari (refer to my email a few

>or Monalisa Bora from the Bay Area - who is an Asha-Star volunteer for Asha-for-Education. She is
>one of the active Project stewards for the ones in Assam. They are undertaking a few more in the
>NE. That is in the works!
>or the RVC volunteer, Ravindranath - whom we have identified as the best fit for AID flood relief,
>is someone action oriented, not just merely dishing out sound-bites. We have received good

>Please consider reading through the writeup. We do have the power to bring about change. I take
