His statue had to be placed outside, on a nearby roundabout (crossing). I'm not surprised about how things happen in India -but it surprises me that similar incidents have started happening in USA too. Hindus spreading fundamentalism in India -and their brothers (read Bobby jindal) spreading Christian fundamentalism in USA -after converting in childhood. As the old joke goes -about Laloo Yadav -the supremo of Bihar , India's Wild West : when the Japanese PM remarked that give us a chance and we will make Bihar like Japan in 3 years -Laloo remarked ,quick witted as always - allow us just three weeks and we can convert Japan into a Bihar. Umesh PS - Bobby -also let me know how u managed to convert at an age when most of us cannot even make up our minds about the love of our lives -perhaps it was in the American spirit of things - marry early -divorce later. But perhaps , divorcing your new faith woudn't be posible -since ur career depends upon it (alongwith the support of the Christian Right-read fundamentalists and evangelists). And did it not help u secure the Rhodes scholarship too!! -now be honest-with all the high and mighty US professors ready to give lavish recommendations on the neo convert's behalf. Well, I too am giving the TOEFL and GRE in Nov 1st week -(the 1st is on 5th and second's date is due)- at the age of 32 -ur age - I may never become US governor - becos I'll never change my faith -like u did- but I still feel -I can give u a run for ur money - anytime ,in US----becos God doesn't like double dealers.
