Rabin Deka seems to be suffering from many ailments, not the least of which
is his inability to read, write or comprehend ordinary English, while he
attempts to create an impression that he is an eminent linguist by
challenging people delving into such matters, while never giving an answer
himself or correcting those who might be in error. I won't even go to the
issue of American colloquialisms - which he obviously is totally unfamiliar
with. It is not difficult to understand why.

On the other hand he is the one who does not hesitate to mock others by
asking questions or challenging those commenting or discussing issues such
as Xonkordev, Mahapuruxia religions and customs and related matters may be
in conflict with HIS interpretations or information, which he obviously
holds as infallible. Maybe he IS. But the infallible, the scholar, the
expart (sic) aught (sic) to inform, correct or otherwise help re-direct the
uninformed or the mistaken or the ignorant, instead of mocking them,; which
I ma sure netters woud agree is not nit (sic).

Have Netters noticed how Rabin Deka's sole contribution to the discourse in
Assam Net is to attack, name call, mock or otherwise demean and devalue
individuals--his fellow netters? Has anyone noticed him engaging in a
discussion or even debate in which he shares his knowledge or his
opinions? Has he shared the wisdom he must possess, or so one might hope
from a self-styled expart(sic) of the Vaishnav faith of Assam?

Rabin Deka's perennial problem has been his NEED to be RECOGNIZED for the
areas of expertise he HAS or THINKS he has command of. He LOVES and NEEDS
control, and if he does not get it he gets personally abusive to those whom
he perceives to be the offender. There have been quite a few in Assam Net
who have been on the receiving end of his offerings in Assamm Net. Jugal
Kalita, Ram Sarangapani, Rajen Barua, Probal Tahbildar and heh-heh, yours
truly, to name only a few. He is the only person in Assam Net who seem to
have so many personal enemies.

Rabin Deka does not even hesitate to drag uninvolved family members of his
objects of ire into the cesspool of his posts. How despicable can one get?

A couple of years ago Rabin asked me to REVIEW articles, like for
submittals to technical journals, for the souvenir of Assam 2001 convention
held in Denver for which he was a co-editor. Specifically he wanted me to
review articles by Jukti Kalita and Sanjib Baruah. When I declined on
grounds of lack of expertise, his retort was to ask WHY I was AFRAID of
Jukti and Baruah. That is Rabin Deka's sophistication folks. I have more,
but it won't be necessary to spill it all--if you get my drift.

As I said once before, I believe Rabin Deka is a disgrace to our net-community.
Too bad that he is so out of it, that even this would go right over his head.
