Thank God, they don't have the sign saying: No One Other Than The Tamil Iyengars Are Allowed To Enter This Temple.

The condescending attitude (and the ignorance tied with it, that, that God belongs to only them, or the thought that the temple is their 'baapekor ghor') of some, I repeat some!, of the Brahmins in South Indian (or anywhere, for that matter) temples just makes me sick.

Christians and Muslims want to embrace more and more people, and some "powerful" (read ignorant and mean) Hindus want to chase away the people. Isn't that something?

A culture with such a rich background of thousands of years doesn't condemn on one's being sexist, racial and narrow minded, isn't that surprising?

I am not blaming the religion and going to run to change my religion or the values that I got from it, but am just talking about how people over the years have corrupted the whole culture/religion.

Later more progress could be achieved. > >Umesh > > >--------------------------------- > Yahoo! Messenger - Communicate instantly..."Ping" your friends today!
