Got your point - at least some of it.

However..

>Please note when ULFA was born some twenty years ago, majority Assamese simply >laughed and commented that ULFA has some 'ridiculous' ideas, and left

What I heard on this was: Some with a 'tilika mon' supported them blindly, and some with even 'aahol-bohol mon' supported because they thought it was going to take care of the corruption, stop 'ghus khuwa' etc., in Assam, and majority were afraid of their gun-power.

Thinking of it as a ridiculous idea means not going for it. What else can you do? Take a 'hengdaan' instead of the 'trishul' and go after him? :-)

How is that? Kashmir has majority of muslim population, and Assam is >going to that direction - having illegal B'deshis coming to make muslim population 60% (as you said), so how is RSS trying to >turn Assam into another Kashmir? I thought they are doing just the opposite - trying to stop that - may be in a ridiculous way, >like taking up trishul instead of a 'gamosa'. Or was that BJP or the Hindutva or the RSS - well one of them! > >I think you missed the point. > >We all know the problem, but don't know the solution although we know that WE WILL HAVE TO GET A POLITICAL SOLUTION. ASSAMESE NEED TO GET THA! T INTO THEIR TILIKA MON. RSS-Togadia worofe HULFA is not suggesting a political solution either. What they are suggesting may sound simply 'ridiculous' to you and many other Hindus at this time, but in fact that is the dangerous suggestion of suggesting terrorism and violence and to fight the last Hindu-Muslim war in Assam. What else a Trishul will have any other meaning in the hands of Assamese Hindus. That isitself will turn Assam into a Civil War between the Muslims and Hindus. That is what I call turning Assam into Kashmir. (Politically Assam has not turned into Kashmir yet. A Muslim majority does not mean that it is Kashmir. And part of the problem of Muslim majority is that Assamese Hindus are hiring Muslims imigrant workers everywhere). Please note when ULFA was born some twenty years ago, majority Assamese simply laughed and commented that ULFA has some 'ridiculous' ideas, and left at that. As a result Assam suffered twenty years, and progress of Assam is pushed back! by fity years. I think this time Assam will be pushed back to primitive days. I think if Assamese Hindus listen to RSS-Togadia, Hindu Assamese will have to get out of Assam eventually. Under HULFA leadership, we sure are heading towards a future where the Assamese will suddenly feel that things were much safer in the days of ULFA. Because they were targetting terrorism only against the corrupt government agencies. But under HULFA Assamese neighbours will kill Assamese neighbours. I think that will be the greatest irony for the Assamese people. RSS-Togadia will not come to rescue Assamese Hindus then. > >The fact is ULFA>SULFA>NULFA>HULFA and none of the groups are interested for any political solution of the problem of Assam. Our problem is everybody is simply DREAMING at the expense of the Assamese common people. RSS-Togadia is DREAMING at the expense of Assamese people. > >Bottom line Assamese need to come to reality and smell the grass on the banks o! f river Luhit..Assamese need to get serious and get into Politics and fight a political war, and not the last Hindu-Mulsim war in Assam. > >Our problem is we don't have a strong and courageous political leader. But that does not mean that Assamese people will have to jump from the frying pan into the fire. > >I say Hobo Diok. > >Barua > > > > > >
