This is Hemanta Baruah from North Carolina. It's really nice to
come across this group of young Assamese students. It has been almost
five years in the US but during this period I didn't meet a single
Assamese person. So I am very willing to meet someone and talk in
plain Assamese.
I did my schooling from Loyola School, HS and BSc from Nowgong
College. I received my Master degree in Chemistry from IIT Kharagpur
in 1999. Since spring of 2000 I am in the Chemistry Department at
Wake Forest University (North Carolina). Hopefully I will get my PhD
degree by the end of this year. In January 2005, I will join the
Chemistry Department at Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a
postdoctoral associate. So technically speaking after a couple of
months I will no longer be a student.
I went throu! gh the database and was pleasantly surprise to find
Aparajita Choudhury's profile. "Aparajita you may not know
me, but I was in my final year when you joined IIT Kharagpur. It
will be nice to hear back from you."
