Some of us are going on about this as if they are to blame for what happened in the past. Really no need.
Umesh asked if Thanksgiving had a religious connotation and we gave him the facts. That's all. We were not saying that you should not celebrate. I know that even Indian Tantrics celebrate in cremation grounds and graveyards.
Sometime ago an enterprising Taiwanese opened a Pub which he called the HOLOCAUST. It was decorated with memories from WW-II and the funniest thing was that the WC was labelled as the "Gas Chamber." We all thought it really funny and all about black humour etc.. BUT, the authorities forced the pub to close down as there were a lot of protests from the Foreign community.
Takes two to tango, I guess.
