Best Wishes for Rongali Bihu! Thanks for being nice about my contributions to Asssam Net. Who does not like to hear and receive compliments? You enjoy it more when one doesnât deserve it! I tried to compliment Chandan once. He became furious. Although we come from the same locality, Namti, I didnât know him personally till I joined Assam Net but I heard about the Mahanta boys being academically bright from students and local people of Namti. I met him personally for the first time at the Assam Convention in USA a few years ago. However, Kamal, your research falls short of fairplay because youâve excluded yourself. Had you been Mulk Raj Anand, you would have seen to it. I think it was Anand, a literary genius whom history appears to have almost forgotten. A famous author produced a spectacular review of the book as an introduction. At the end it was signed by Anand himself saying that he would have liked it to come out from the pen of another literary giant; since it was not forthcoming he did the job himself. This is what our fellow Punjabis do, the Assamese are too modest. Regards, Happy Bihu again! Bhuban |
