My impression is that marriagable age in USA is 16 whereas in India it is 18.
Foeticide in India is the term used for killing of female foetus specifically, after illegal sex determination tests thru ultra-sound. There is not stigma - to my knowledge to abortion in general. It is done opnely and without any debate.
