Mr Mahanta,
You and KJD talk about change of Indian
system. Why both of you left India then.
*** Are you implying that it is a bad idea? That
change for India is going to be detrimental? That
everything is fine with India? Or is your
national pride being hurt by the fact that those
of us who left have the temerity to point out
what is so terribly amiss in India?
You went to IIT , India's best school and you
could have done many things by not coming to U.S.
*** Why do you assume that? I don't know where
you are, but you must be no less than Kamal or
myself. Why do you need Kamal or myself to come
to the rescue of those of you who imply that you
are happy with things as they are? Are you guys
impotent?
Going to IIT or being selected to the ranks of
the IAS are, by and of themselves, no measure of
one's intellect or ability. People like yourself
are still stuck in the dark ages with such ideas.
I am glad Kamal did not accept an IAS position.
Because from what we have seen, they have done
diddley squat for India or themselves. A cushy
life for themselves, with colonial pomp and
pampering, guaranteed for life with little to
show for in return, is not exactly something able
people would exalt in. Not that they could not
have. They are some of the nation's best and the
brightest, but Indian governmental systems take
them and turns them into little more than
clerks-from-hell, rob them or their creative
potentials, subjugate them to the whims of
politicians of questionable abilities, thus
debasing a once workable system of democratic
governance.
. Ask KJD about S. Ramakrishnan. KJD was
selected for IAS ( 1st time doctor were allowed
to take exam). But he left that and came to
U.S.. Why?
*** I don't need to ask Kamal about Ramakrishnan
or Radhakrishnan. Those names mean nothing to me.
I left because I wanted to do well for myself,
and I am very glad I did.
Are you both not HYPOCRITE?
*** That is not for me to say and for you to
judge. But it will be helpful why you consider us
to be hypocrites? I hope you know enough English
to know the meaning of the word.
Go back and do something in India .
*** Why ? I may be foolish, but not stupid.
Please send this to ASSAM NET , if you have the courage.
*** I would have, even without your daring.
