This is the further extension of my earlier post.
The second question,emitted by the resident Assamese/Indians towards NRAs/NRIs,is --" if you are so patriotic,how come you live overseas?".It presumes that only residents of Assam/India are allowed to care about Assam/India.Says who?It may well be that exposure to the wide world has made overseas Assameme/Indians much more conscious of the value of India/Assam. moreover,one should defend to the death the opponent's right to have an opinion.But some resident 'Desis" clearly try to force his opponent to self-censor.Further,there is the implication that if you were a resident of India,you would ipso facto be patriotic about India/Assam.This is clearly untrue.There are many resident non-patriots.
