I think all our kharkhwa CMs of
Assam are very poor public speakers. They show very miserable faces in
front of any Reporters. They stumble to answer any basic question. I have
seen and starting for Hiteswar Saikia down through Prafulla Mahanta and to
present Tarun Gogoi, all are the same. Partly this is because of their
poor leadership qualities, lack of knowledge of things in general, lack of
confidence and all that. I simply wonder how in the world they got into
such leadership positions. I suggest all the future political party
candidates in Assam should undergo some kind of minimum training in Public
Speaking (like Toast Masters). The public also should demand more out of these
leaders. This is defenitely a poor reflection of the present Assamese
society. I wish if the Assamese public would have simply asked these
leaders dumb questions!! But they don't.
