Are you sure you restarted assp after making this change? I'm however not sure if you can do what you want directly with assp. As you're having multiple servers for authentication I don't think it's possible. You might need an additional smtp service (such as postfix, exim, xmail) that might act as a proxy to be able to do what you want.
