Yes, but that takes the responsibility out of their hands and adds more to my plate.  I have a lot more to do than sit around and adjust the spam filter all day.  My suggestion would be practically automated.

I would expect that this would apply to only a very few users, and usually be for some newletter type email or something similar.  You could put these users in the no processing list and let them filter their spam at the desktop or, if I am correct in my assumptions on the type of mail it would be, have the other users opt out of the mailings.  I would think that any email/newletter that anyone would really want and had real value to anyone in the company would also have a real opt-out function.

My generic answer is "if it ain't company/business related do it at home"

Subject: [Assp-user] Feature : userpref

Hi !

One idea :

Can it possible to introduce the notion of user preference.

For example :

- an email send for 3 users

- assp determine it was a spam by bayesian

- so it was tagged with prepend [SPAM] (testmode bayesian active)

- for user 1 is not a spam so he forward it to EmailHam

- instead of adding the sender to whitelist, this fetaure use a new base (userprefdb.white) with tripplet : (IP Address, sender, and recipient)

- for user 2 is a spam so he forward it to EmailSpam

- feature adding new tripplet (IP Address, sender, and recipient) in userprefdb.black

- for user 3 delete this email.

The next time that the email is sending :

Assp check the mail and in the final step use this feature to determine the user preference :

user 1 : receive the email without prepend

user 2 : don't receive this mail (blocked)

user 3 : receive the email with prepend

Do you understand this ? What do you think ?

I think it's usefull for many email that is "newsletter/publicity" that is one time spam, one time notspam by the email interface

Jérôme.
