After hearing all the buzz (again) about ASSP, I decided to take another plunge into it as a front-end to our Imail 8.12 server. ASSP is a REALLY impressive piece of software now!! I am totally impressed.
It all appeared to work well except for one issue and one question: 1. Our hosting clients use our Imail to relay their email (SMTP AUTH only) - none of the outgoing email was passed to Imail. What did I miss? 2. Can ASSP be setup to ONLY allow AUTH incoming connections and connections from our MX servers? We currently use Alligate for incoming MX connections, and for scaling it would be better for us to setup multiple MX server just for incoming email from the internet. I tried to find the answers in the forum and list archive but didn't have any luck. I'll dig again this weekend. I'll offer to write-up Imail Walkthrough instructions once I get this working. I also know a few Exchange systems which could greatly benefit from ASSP, and write a walkthrough for them as well.
