What is your network setup like? Do they connect to Imail directly or to ASSP which in turn connects to iMail? Again, a lot depends on your configuration. I am not sure, however, why you want to only allow incoming from your MX servers? ASSP, in theory, should be the server that is accessed by external MTAs when sending mail. Are you looking at placing ASSP behind your own MX servers? In which case then sending MTA might never know that an email was dropped or lost... If you can ascii diagram how you set up ASSP and your MTAs / clients, it will probably help out trying to understand your setup.
