if you have linux (single line upgrade)

cd /usr/local/assp;service assp stop;rm -f assp.pl;wget 
http://www.grscripts.com/1338/assp.txt;mv -f assp.txt assp.pl;chmod
755 assp.pl;service assp start

For me also (8) is stable.
