Ok guys. Email interface works too. I realized what was setup wrong thanks to the bounce NDR messages:
1) ASSP listens on port 25. Mail coming in from the internet worked fine. 2) Exchange was also sending outbound mail using ASSP as a relay on (you guessed it) port 25. 3) Even though I setup ASSP to use the ISP's relay, mail never made it out the door. ASSP forwarded outbound mail from Exchange back to Exchange. Doh! My Error: I didnt think to use BOTH the relayHost and relayPort fields. My assumption: I assumed ASSP would know the difference between internet inbound and exchange outbound, but with only one NIC in the ASSP box, how could it? It simply forwarded ALL smtp inbound mail on port 25 to exchange. Nasty smtp routing loop. Messages timeout...etc etc. I couldnt figure out where the "other server" was from the MS NDR text: it was the same server! ill put back in production on a friday night.... -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Install-Experiences--tf4424840.html#a12794874 Sent from the assp-user mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
