on 1) there is an option under Server Setup to set permissions on all files - solved my problem
2) ill have to experiment with the outing TCP routing here to get email infc going again. Groupwise 6.5 MTA cant handle split port settings so its always listening on 25 If I set it to listen on 125 and tell ASSP to SMTPDestination to GWIA:125, GWIA receives ok but outgoing mail was sending on 125 to the internet! ASSP Could be setup to use the ISP smtp, but restrictions apply.
