I had updated from 1.7.5.7 (1.0.06) to 1.8.1.1. Carriage-returns were
present until that time.
I can email the log file where the transition occurred to you if it will
help. I made a copy of it so it won't be deleted by the normal aging
process.

Subject: Missing carriage-returns in log files since update to 1.8.1.1
FYI,
First, my apologies for complaining about a relatively minor annoyance...
The line feed problem is actually a carriage-return problem. Looking at the
log files with a hex-editor, the old files that looked ok have $0D $0A at
the end of each line while the new, difficult to read logs just have $0A.
So the line feed is still there, but there's no return.
BTW - I'm referring to viewing the file in Notepad - not within the ASSP web
interface, which looks fine. I'm able to work with the log files much more
quickly in Notepad, so that's what I typically use.
I updated to 1.8.1.3(1.0.00) and the "problem" still exists.

Fritz,
Thanks for the update. The maillog file is very difficult to read now
though, it appears that linefeeds are no longer being added to the end of
each line.
Regards,
- Phil

Subject: A couple of issues since updating to 1.8.1.1 (1.0.06)
I've noticed a couple of issues since updating to the latest stable version:
1. The setting for uriblnValencePB appears to be ignored and the
default of 25 is still being applied to neutral URIBL results.
2. Denied SMTP Connections (strict) has 1 hit in 6 ½ days of operation,
when we were getting approximately 1000 hits/day before the update.
DoExtremeExport and DoExtremeExportAppend are both still enabled. The
ExportExtremeBlack file does not appear to be updating.
