Melvin,
WordPad was the first thing I tried. It won't open the currently active log
file that's in use. I can open the older log files with it though and they
look ok, for the most part.
Still, thanks for the tip.

Just for reference, if you open those files in wordpad (write) instead
of notepad I believe they should display correctly. Same goes for any
editor which knows how to handle unix text files.
