Before using it, you should know how SPF works - read the RFC4408 or
contact your mail admin, also ask him, what version of assp do you use and
how he has defined the SPF record for your local domain
'local-asspdomain.tld' .

Hi All,
I have an message flagged with SPF fail, which I think is incorrect.
The following relevant parts appear in the headers (I've replaced
sensitive information):

From: <Firstname> <Lastname> <nore...@insideicloud.icloud.com>
Reply-To: <<firstname>.<lastname>@local-asspdomain.tld>
To: <<anotheruser>@another-local-asspdomain.tld>
....
X-Assp-Envelope-From: <firstname>.<lastname>@local-asspdomain.tld
....
X-Assp-Received-SPF: fail ip=17.171.37.73
mailfrom=<firstname>.<lastname>@local-asspdomain.tld
The spf check failed, because the remote service (icloud in this case)
used the reply-to field, to specify the user's own address which is the
correct way to do this.
However, ASSP checks the spf records of the domain of the user against the
ip address the icloud service uses. Offcourse this check will fail with
strict spf settings in the domain.
I think assp should use the "From" address in the SPF check and not the
"reply-to" address.
Is this an bug? Or an setting (which I could not find?).
