Hi Melisa,

We've havnt used these devices, so can't help specifically, however you do need to make sure that you have sufficent distance between the various bits of equipment - do not site the antenna, gateway and ATA close together. If possible site all three items 3-4 yards/metres apart from each other minimum.

Subject: [Asterisk-biz] Asterisk integration with 2N Easy Gate Analog GSMGateway

Has anyone on the list integrated this 2N mobile gateway with Asterisk successfully?

We have tested it under two scenarios - connected directly to a Zap channel on a digium card and via an ATA w/ PSTN gateway port.

In both cases, we are experiencing poor call quality with a high degree of static interference, apparently from the GSM radio. Similar to what you hear if you are in the middle of a conversation on a traditional desktop phone with your mobile sitting near by and an incoming call comes in on the mobile.

Any advice on how this issue might be resolved would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Melisa.

P/S: We have also written to 2N and contacted their distributor but have yet to receive a response.
