Not true - that's the *point* of the more expensive contracts. They cover you for each device that you own (there's probably a limit.. I only have 3 or 4 items though).

I recently had to deal with cisco over a router I bought - they had no issue handling it under my current contract (in fact I still have one open, waiting for an RMA to complete).
