So do I understand this correctly? I can use this patch to alleviate the 
need for a userspace init.d start-up script?

I just patch the zaptel module source and rebuild?

Does it read /etc/zaptel.conf and thus load the zone data?

I only have an x100p so this could be a useful patch for me.
