You are right, Brazil uses DTMF caller ID.   The format is very simple <Dtmf-D><NUMBER><Dtmf-C>   Asterisk has all the tools available to get DTMF caller ID to work. (DTMF decoder routines,etc.) and T1-CAS uses a very similar format.
