Whoops....stupid one on my part. The combination of my neither termination or origination working, plus this message made me simply skim it. Anyhoo, it looks like the "old method" isn't working at all anyway. Switching to the new method for termination works....but I still don't have origination, and I've still waiting on hold (27 minutes and counting).
