I believe so, although apparently there is a configuration where the power is present on the data wires instead... I've never seen that though.

I do not know for sure... I'm looking at a page that says 4/5 are positive, and 7/8 are negative. It must be correct, because it's a page on how to build your own injectors/splitters :-)
