What ever, Just trying to be a help to the system.
The benefit of enum over a relay service is the ability to interoperate with others using SER and other VoIP PABXs as well, rather then being limited to just other asterisk users, it's self managed via the web interface so people can keep their numbers and hostnames etc up to date themselves... /2cents...

The thing is, a lot of people use thing like IAXTEL because they can't open any holes in their NAT. This means the only way they can receive calls from the outside is to register with an external server (and hold the NAT hole open). ENUM isn't going to help you if you can't receive VOIP calls directly.
