Well, the plan was to use Jim's Polycom with his Soekris box but that had
issues. Instead we were using Simon's laptop running an IAX client.

I had called in using my cellphone and noticed the same thing - unclear and
muffled audio.

Oh well, we're all the wiser for next time.
