I've done the same thing and encountered the same problem, as far as I know
Norstar does not send DTMF internally, in my situation I can call Norstar
extensions from the IP phone, but not the other way around. If I dial our
(external PSTN) number from a Norstar extension, then dial the ATA
extension, I can call the IP phone. A telecom guy told me an ATA expansion
card for the Norstar would fix the problem, Jim?

Does anyone have experience integrating an asterisk system into an
exisitng Norstar system? Basically, I bridged a norstar extension into an
asterisk box, thusly:
Norstar extension => nortel ATA =>TDMcard/Asterisk => Voip phone.
Everything works great ... except for one thing: I can't get the voip
phone to log into the norstar queue, like you would with a regular nortel
phone. How do I send feature commands to the Norstar from a voip phone?
Any ideas?
