Well hmmmmmm

I agree that obviously this should be kept separate from the individuals who
are in this just for a hobby?

Calling on the rest of us who "are" building a business around this
technology would there be enough of us to have a separate meeting to discuss
business concepts?

Hrmmm... I think the jist so far has been that we're trying to avoid
marketing type things at the talks -- while some of us are in this as
a business, a lot of individuals are also in it just for a hobby. That
pretty much has limited us to talks of a technical nature.

I'm all up for hearing views on this, but I think the concensus thus
far has been to keep business activities as an after thought.
