I think this is a very good idea, as a start up it would be very
helpful to get input and ideas from other people in the same "boat"
I don't think competition is a big issue here, common goals would be
sale and marketing ideas and general promotion of Asterisk in the business
community.
So count me in .

Nor would I mind. I wouldn't wory about the competitive aspect of

I kind of like this idea, however, are we not the competition, I mean
how
much info am I going to give you and visa versa. I wouldn't mind
trying to
set up some sort of co-op, give us all a little more buying power, Mark.

Well hmmmmmm
I agree that obviously this should be kept separate from the
individuals who
are in this just for a hobby?
Calling on the rest of us who "are" building a business around this
technology would there be enough of us to have a separate meeting to
discuss
business concepts?

Well some of us are doing this as a hobby but other side is that we are

What I have been asking is what people who are treating this as a
business
are doing in regards to promoting their businesses?
And thought well maybe there is someone planning on doing a talk on
this
subject for I aswell would like to contribute to this discussion at
one of
our meetings in regards to sales and marketing...
Hrmmm... I think the jist so far has been that we're trying to avoid
marketing type things at the talks -- while some of us are in this as
a business, a lot of individuals are also in it just for a hobby. That
pretty much has limited us to talks of a technical nature.
I'm all up for hearing views on this, but I think the concensus thus
far has been to keep business activities as an after thought.
