The answer, as of a few months ago is.. No.. This will not work. If you enable Call forwarding on a line, after the first call comes in, the 2nd will ring busy. If you require the service, it has to be done on the CO switch, and Bell will try to charge you $0.16 per call.
We were moving to a while ago and had to move into a temp. building, and rather then do a double move, I just held the number at the old location and used call forwarding. Well it took about two days before we started noticing a lot of people weren't able to connect, and this was why. It doesn't make much sense, but I guess that's the way it works. -----Original Message----- From: Alan Cohen [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: May 15, 2006 4:50 PM To: ASTERISK Subject: [on-asterisk] Multiple call forwarding? Hello all If I call-forward my business line 555-1111 to 555-2222 and several calls are immediatelly made to 555-1111, will they ALL be forwarded to 555-2222? Bell Canada assures me that this is true, but somehow I'm sceptical. If that's really the case, it would seem to be a cost-saving piece of advice to people who need to have multiple lines available for incoming calls. ie: if you have (say) an Unlimitel number which supports several virtual circuits, you can call-forward your single PSTN number to that Unlimitel number. -- Sincerely, Alan Cohen email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] website: http://perimeter911.com phone: 416-783-9826 --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
