Yea, there are a lot of errors - this has been happening sporadically for the last few months and we can't pin down why. It could go for a few weeks without anything and then suddenly dozens of errors. Timing is different as well.

I hadn't thought about the HWEC - I'll try and give that a go and also update to the latest drivers/firmware.

I checked interrupts and they are being shared but the hardware platform we use is exactly the same as a few other locations (without this problem), so I don't think that is it.

I'm not even sure what it means by a Rx error, obviouslyly something to do with receiving - could it be a cabling problem?

thanks

Martin

You might want to try disabling the HWEC on your Sangoma to see is that would help. Also is that card sharing it's interrupt with an other peripheral (cat /etc/interrupts). Next I would check to make sure you have latest firmware and wanpipe drivers.

Is that a new install or the problem just started?

Hi,

Just wondering whether anyone has come across this message on a PRI before and how they went about troubleshooting or could give some suggestions for a solution.

We are seeing the following error message in syslog and then after a while, Asterisk reports that the PRI is down.

Sep 30 20:35:35 pbx-firstw kernel: wanpipe1: Excessive Rx Errors ... 1619 (errs/s=8007)! Sep 30 20:35:36 pbx-firstw kernel: wanpipe1: Excessive Rx Errors ... 1620 (errs/s=8007)! Sep 30 20:35:37 pbx-firstw kernel: wanpipe1: Excessive Rx Errors ... 1621 (errs/s=8007)! Sep 30 20:35:38 pbx-firstw kernel: wanpipe1: Excessive Rx Errors ... 1622 (errs/s=8007)! Sep 30 20:35:39 pbx-firstw kernel: wanpipe1: Excessive Rx Errors ... 1623 (errs/s=8008)! Sep 30 20:35:40 pbx-firstw kernel: wanpipe1: Excessive Rx Errors ... 1624 (errs/s=8005)!

We have had the service provider (Shaw) check and replace their equipment. We are using a Sangoma card if it makes any difference and the same PRI configuration at a number of different sites, without the problem.

Thanks

Martin
