Hi Chuck, my guess would be that it does try to follow the dial pattern, but would be unstable. In programing terms this is a recursive loop so it would likely overflow the processor stack (big no-no). This might show up as the CPU being saturated at 100% usage and lock up. For those who enjoy a good read, check out "Godel, Esher and Bach (The Eternal Golden Thread)" this book explores "recursiveness" in terms of mathamatics, art and music.
