Hi Bruce, It's going to be difficult to find a "canned" solution for your problem. I would highly recommend trying out Opsview - http://www.opsview.com/. It's based on Nagios, but it simplifies most of the backend config work with its web UI. It can handle distributed monitoring with slaves and such. You'll probably have to write some custom scripts (checks) to get the info you need.
