Hi Everyone,

I have been exploring and using a few monitoring tools in the past year or so
including (monit, monit, snmp tools, nagois) but I haven't so far found a nice
tool that does all I want in a nice, easy, and lightweight way.

Mostly looking for something that has the following features:

- Support for central management (monitor multiple Asterisk servers.
- Client be lightweight on the Asterisk server and have no need to open ports
on Asterisk server but rather send out it's stat info to the Monitoring Server.
- Show a nice radar like display of all the Asterisk servers or overall Servers
temperatures into few different LCDs to give the overall picture in one look.
- Of course be capable of alerting using at least e-mail alerts.
- Be opensource - only requirement for this is because I want to add Asterisk
phone call alerts.
- Can settle for commercial software as well as long as it's not a hefty
monthly payment but rather one time payment for license and is flexible or has
a good API for advancement.
- Be Asterisk focused. If not at least have an easy way of doing scripts to
monitor Asterisk server.
- Not be really complicated like Nagios in order to not put a lot of load onto
the Asterisk server.

Please post your likes and dislikes of the tools you use or would stay away
from. I highly appreciate any input from experienced users and those who manage
multiple Asterisk server across different geographic areas.

As an example there is: http://www.humbuglabs.org/
I have just came across it and it's confusing as I am not sure if it's
opensource or not but something similar to this would be perfect. I don't think
this project interests me as I think one should sign up with them in order to
receive service.

Thanks,
