Hey James,

Yes it installs asterisk for you as well as the linux, so you can install 
whatever else you need. If you have any linux experience it wont be too bad, 
then again if you were installing linux, then asterisk you would need just as 
much knowledge!

Stability isnt too bad. Ive had two failures in two years - one was a dead 
power 
supply, the other was a dead harddrive. Both problems could have been avoided 
by 
using a proper server box w/ redundant supplies. Either way, if you keep proper 
backups with *now and their install dvd time to live should be less then 45 
minutes after critical failure w/data loss.

That box is my firewall and will be used for more than just Asterisk.  In 
addition to NAT router/firewall, it also does DNS, DHCP, VPN and 6in4 tunnel 
for 
IPv6.  Will that DVD do all that?
