Well you know, I did not stop Asterisk, but I can do it again. I don't need to recompile anything else do I? I am not using any CO cards or anything, all connections to this server are through IAX trunks. I did find something about 'recipes' and 'cooking' regarding patching AsteriskNow. But not enough to go on.

That said, running 'make install' on the compiled source in an AsteriskNow install over-writes the old stuff (assuming asterisk is stopped) and you should be running the new version.
