You wouldn't happen to know where those few places are so that I might hack 
them to use the 2.6.16.5 (when did 2.6.16.5 come out I swear I read lastnight 
that 2.6.16.3 just came out).

At a risk of asking something that was already answered elsewhere, when I built 
the generic x86 and boot it. I got a bunch of /dev errors for devices missing 
and never actually get serial console access to the box.

Here is everything from boot after the kernel frees its memory:
