Make sure your compact flash is your primary master. If you need to
edit the boot menu I think you press E...make the changes as should be
self-explanatory in the boot line then esc and B to boot to it. This
will not be a permanent change. You will need to remount the root file
system as read/write and edit /boot/grub/menu file..can't remember the
exact item or location...it won't work if your CF-to-IDE isn't primary
master though.
