Thanks for your reply.

I check the startup scripts, It seems that kernel mode pppoe require 
/usr/lib/ppp/rp-pppoe.so, which is a pppd plugin.
But I can not find such a file in my runtime image.

I have to add rp-pppoe package to my astlinux build environment, after some 
dirty hack on rp-pppoe, finally I got pppoe and rp-pppoe.so for my astlinux 
runtime.
The pppoe now working. The only thing left is the pppd will terminated 
almost every day and I have to restart the connection manual. maybe I should 
add a watch-dog like process the restart the pppoe link automatically.

Because I also use astlinux as my home VPN router to my office.  I also add 
OpenSWAN package to my astlinux box.  It works great.
If anyone need it, I can share them.
