Hm... It sounds rather bizarre. I've got both, the older AMP (on a custom
build WhiteBox Linux, w/o X-s) and the latest FreePBX installed (as part of
TrixBox). Let me copy native sounds from astlinux and try the same here... I
will let you know after the weekend.

Absolutely not!  I am running FreePBX 2.1.1 though.  I only run what is
required for that.
