Miklos,

        The default config works perfectly for a 400xm. If you have a 200xm,
you will need to run make menuconfig and (de)select:

AstLinux Target Device -> Gumstix -> Basix-Connex -> 400mhz

        That will configure AstLinux for your 200mhz cpu.

        If you don't have an "xm" model, you will need to drastically reduce
the number of package targets - they have 4mb of flash as opposed to the
xm, which has 16mb.

        Grab yourself a copy of trunk:

svn co https://svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/astlinux/trunk astlinux-trunk

cp gumstix.config .config
make oldconfig
make menuconfig (make your changes)
make
make jffs2root

        You will need to flash the gumstix using these instructions:

http://docwiki.gumstix.org/Replacing_the_filesystem_image

        I flash my 'stix using TFTP and upgrade u-boot over serial.

        Let me know if you have any problems.
