Yeruult,
1) There are some efforts to get unicall into AstLinux. Bruno has
mentioned it, and Darrick Hartman has been working on getting the
required libraries for spandsp (a major unicall dependency) working.
Once this is done, it should be trivial to add support for unicall.
2) The AstLinux ISO installs AstLinux on hdd using physdiskwrite from
Windows. As of now, the install only supports writing out the image to
disk. Once this is done, you can run fdisk and add a partition as large
as you like that can be used as a keydisk. AstLinux does not make your
hard disk smaller.
3) AstLinux is a Linux distro. However, it has goals that are
different from most other distros. There are several small Linux
distros out there that use packages (little versions of Debian, Pebble
for instance). I started AstLinux because none of them seemed
integrated or stable enough for production use as a phone system
appliance. All of the software that you mentioned is either available
now or can be added with enough effort. However, it sounds like you
might be happier (and better served) with a more general purpose distro
that uses packages.
